Palm Sunday

This is just to remind everyone that the clocks go forward this weekend.

Brothers not serving the Palm Sunday High Mass should make every effort to take part in the procession, and should arrive at the Little Oratory Sacristy no later than 10.35 to robe and collect palms.

SUNDAY 28th MARCH: PALM SUNDAY.

Blessing of Palms, Procession and High Mass — Oratory Church at 11.00 am. Robes.

All Brothers not taking part in the ceremonies of High Mass are urged to attend and to take part, robed and carrying palms, in the Procession.

Exercises in the Little Oratory as usual.

WEDNESDAY 31st MARCH: SPY WEDNESDAY.

Tenebræ — Oratory Church at 6.30 pm.

THURSDAY 1st APRIL: MAUNDY THURSDAY.

High Mass, Mandatum & Procession — Oratory Church at 6.30 pm. Robes.

Brothers will be required for the Mandatum and to carry the canopy. Brothers not taking part in the ceremonies of High Mass are urged to take part, robed and carrying candles, in the Procession.  

Oratory of the Passion — Private Chapel at ca. 8.15 pm.

Watch — Oratory Church until midnight. Robes.

FRIDAY 2nd APRIL: GOOD FRIDAY— Fasting and Abstinence.

Tenebræ — Oratory Church at 10.00 am.

Solemn Liturgy of the Passion — Oratory Church at 3.00 pm. Robes.

Brothers not serving the Liturgy are urged to attend, robed, and to assist with crowd control and the taking of the collections. 

Frustulum — St Wilfrid’s Hall at ca. 5.30 pm.

Via Crucis — Oratory Church at 6.30 pm. Robes.

Oratory of the Passion — Little Oratory at 7.30 pm.

SATURDAY 3rd APRIL: HOLY SATURDAY.

The Fathers have decided that there will be Stations of the Cross on Friday 19th March, at the usual time of 6.30p.m. The Oratory of the Passion will not, however, be given afterwards.

Via Crucis & Oratory of the Passion

This is just a reminder that Brothers are expected to take part in the Via Crucis at 6.30p.m. in the Oratory Church on the Fridays during Lent, and to attend the Oratory of the Passion afterwards in the Little Oratory.

Tomorrow, Friday 19th, there is a Mass being celebrated in the Little Oratory at 6p.m., so Brothers will need to take care to be quiet whilst robing for the Via Crucis.
