Alec Haley RIP

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Alec Haley died yesterday. His funeral Requiem Mass will be sung at the Oratory Church on Friday 27th November at 11a.m.

Advent Musical Oratory

The Advent Musical Oratory will not take place on Sunday 29th November, as previously announced; instead, it will take place on Sunday 6th December. There will be a reception afterwards.

Brothers' Tea after Exercises

This is just to let you all know that it has been decided that tea should mean tea, and that Brothers wishing to have anything stronger can do so at their own leisure in any of the numerous local places available for such activities after formal recreation in common in Saint Wilfrid's Hall.

Brothers' Annual Dinner 2009

The Annual Dinner will take place after the Requiem on Friday 20th November, at ca. 8.30p.m. We have again managed to arrange a particularly favourable price at Orsini on Thurloe Place.

The charge this year will be £35 per person, which is less than last year. Brothers are, of course, encouraged to bring any potential new postulants as their guests.

We need to have firm numbers and to have received payment by the close of Exercises on Sunday 25th October. No exceptions can or will be made, nor will reminders be issued.

Could you please let the Rector know, as soon as possible, whether you will be attending the Dinner? Cheques, made payable to The London Oratory Charity, should be sent to the Rector c/o the Oratory. Hard copy confirmation slips are available in the Little Oratory Sacristy.
